My Journey | 2025 | Oğuzhan Özkaya | TEDxReset The journey of a teacher who became an entrepreneur out of necessity to provide the education of his dreams. Born in 1980 in the village of Seksenuşağı in Ortaköy district of Aksaray, Oğuzhan Özkaya has made teaching, which was his childhood dream, the center of his life. After deciding to become a teacher in 7th grade, he received boarding education at Aksaray Teacher High School, and in university, he set all seven of his preferences as education faculties. He continued his teaching journey by winning his fourth preference, Celal Bayar University Demirci Education Faculty Science Teaching Department. After university, Özkaya came to İzmir and, after gaining experience in tutoring centers, noticed the deficiencies in the education system and implemented one of Turkey's first boutique tutoring initiatives. During the transformation process of tutoring centers into basic high schools, Özkaya made the first and only transformation application in İzmir and today has implemented an institution that provides education with the Modern Village Institute Model in a 65-acre campus.
