Open Door Policy
Our institution follows an "Open Door" policy, and anyone who wishes, especially our parents, can visit our preschool according to certain rules and contribute to the educational process with workshops they prepare.
Why Özkaya Preschool?
Özkaya Preschool is located within the Oğuzhan Özkaya Education Campus in Yelki district, Güzelbahçe region of İzmir. With its single-story main building, 3 bungalow classrooms, and approximately 3000 m² garden with olive trees, along with its farm housing cows, racehorses, water buffaloes, sheep, goats, chickens, and many other animals, it is Turkey's first Farm and Forest School, planned above the standards set by the Ministry of National Education Private Educational Institutions Standards Regulation, accepting children aged 3-6.

Özkaya Preschool is a unique educational environment designed for children to grow up integrated with nature. On our 3000m² farm, a world full of cows, horses, chickens, and olive trees awaits our children.
Here, our children don't just listen to lessons; they feed animals, grow vegetables, milk cows, and play with soil. While learning through real-life experiences every day, they gain a sense of responsibility, empathy, and love for nature.
Inspired by Maria Montessori's philosophy, we know that we cannot place knowledge in a child's brain that we cannot touch with their hands and hearts. That's why our learning process is entirely experiential and hands-on.

What is the Jolly Phonics Method?
Jolly Phonics is a modern, internationally recognized educational method that teaches English to children based on the letter-sound relationship (phoneme–grapheme).
Sound-Based Reading and Writing Instruction
The Jolly Phonics method focuses on teaching letter sounds to develop children's English reading and writing skills. This method enables children to learn reading by breaking words into sounds (decoding) and blending sounds together.
At Özkaya Preschool, we strengthen our children's English literacy skills at an early age by implementing the Jolly Phonics program together with our native teachers.
