A Generation That Mends Its Own Tears and Designs Life
Our Textile Workshop is a production and design space that provides our students with "life skills" they will use throughout their lives, beyond fashion.
Our education begins with basic self-care skills such as tying shoelaces, sewing buttons/snaps, and mending tears. In this process, we apply the "Peer Education" model; the student who knows teaches the one who doesn't, and the class progresses together. Thus, not only hand skills but also social solidarity and patience develop.
Our students who master the basics; meet sewing machines, renew their old clothes with upcycling projects, and bring their own fashion designs to life starting from silhouette drawings.
This workshop aims to develop our children's fine motor skills, enable them to become independent individuals who can meet their own needs, and combine their aesthetic perspective with technical skill.
Through training in tying shoes, sewing buttons/snaps, and mending tears; they develop fine motor muscles and become confident individuals who can meet their own needs without depending on anyone.
With our system where "those who know teach those who don't"; communication between students strengthens, a culture of mutual aid forms, and problem-solving abilities (fixing incorrect stitches, etc.) develop through teamwork.
Their creativity increases with sewing machine use, silhouette drawing, and moodboard preparation; they gain sustainability and recycling awareness by transforming old clothes into new products.
