SOCIAL MEDIA – NATURAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

The project's main goal is to provide students with alternative ways of spending their free time as we are convinced that they are wasting lots of their time using social media and other internet tools. The project also aims at reducing school abandonment and improving students' school performance through strategies and methods which can motivate them to finish their studies and prepare them to start their future education and become active and responsible members of their local and wider communities. It is included preventing and /or reducing social-media students' addiction, by promoting ICT skills and rational, educational use of the Internet and social media, preventing early school leaving; promoting common values, cultural diversity, respect, tolerance, understanding of foreign languages, cultures, civilizations as alternatives to spending time in the virtual world; promoting a healthy lifestyle among students, parents, teachers and community as part of the education for an active citizenship in Europe; processing online information and instructions in a safe way, developing digital and media skills, improving students' learning and preparing them for future education and formation.
